Currently Scheduled Classes
The OneStroke curriculum has 3 basic classes: Wildflowers, Sunflowers and
Rosebuds. Each of these classes will be rotated on a 3 month cycle. Additional sections will be added by request.. Anything that has a level 1 behind it is open to beginners. Anything with a 1+, you must have had 1 basic class or teacher approval. We ask
that if you want to take a level 2 class, you will have had at least 1 if
not all 3 of the basics. Many of the special classes are offered periodically
throughout the year.
Types of Paints from the Plaid Folk Art Brand:
- High Definition, referred to as HD, is similar but different than traditional One Stroke painting. It does help to have taken some of the basic One Stroke classes but not required. With this painting technique you paint more like oils and is designed to give lots of texture to your canvas.
- Acrylic paint is for a variety of surfaces and purposes. Wood, paper mache, and anything with a very porous surface are items you might paint with acrylics. You must seal this paint to keep it from coming off.
- Enamels are for glass and tinware. Once cured it is top dishwasher or hand wash safe.
- Outdoor paint has a built in sealer and is uv resistant. Great for all your outdoor needs such as mailboxes, flags, etc...
- Fabric paint that is soft to the touch and easily applied. Works great even on denim or dark surfaces.
The cost of class does not include supplies unless noted.
